Thanks for reading the post, Colleen. I actually agree with you. I still think my coach made the wrong decision. “Dance with the one that brought you” and all that. Interesting thing though… While my Mom essentially told me to suck it up and be a good team player, she did run for (and win a seat on) the League Board the next season. And it just so happens that the by-laws changed. We went to a true All-Star Team system for our District tournament after that, with tryouts where all of the coaches voted on the team members. Funny, how it all worked out in the end.

Thanks for reading the post, and I agree, it seems like there’s always something brewing. I think that’s the nature of any organization… There’s always going to be disagreement, different motivations, and different ideas about how to move the group forward. It’s why democracy is so terribly messy.

Good post. Completely agree. I went in that same direction on a post I put up last night. I went into thoughts on the issue itself but the bottom line was the same as yours here – Let’s just get along, let the noise subside, take a deep breath and move forward. Great post, thanks for sharing!
